Welcome to the Black Lab Inn

The Black Lab Inn is not just a 'dog friendly' inn, but a bed and breakfast that caters to the unique needs of you and your best friend.   Located in the south end of Ottawa, our 5 bedroom Victorian style house offers a relaxing atmosphere where you and your dog can travel together and enjoy a country setting while being close to all the attractions the City of Ottawa has to offer. Our inn is furnished with the dog lover in mind and features numerous dog-themed art prints and crafts, highlighted by our collection of art from Dog Mountain, the Stephen Huneck gallery in both the main house and the individual rooms.  

We are located in a quiet, safe neighborhood, minutes from a spacious park with plenty of nearby green space for daily walks, runs and outdoor games of fetch. We also have waterfront access on the Rideau River close by, where you can take your buddy swimming for a cool way to exercise your dog. Our inn is close to the village of Manotick and has shopping nearby as well as many other Ottawa attractions.

Your hosts, Cliff and Lianne are dog lovers and would love to have you and your dog stay as guests. Our official greeters, Bruce, Casey and Boomer, will be sure to give you a friendly welcome. Our goal is to provide a fun, relaxing and comfortable stay for you and your dog while on vacation or traveling to the capital area on vacation or business.

Notice: It is with regret that as of January, 2013, the Inn will be closed. After 4 hugely successful years and nearly 1000 guests, we have decided to cease operations and we have moved to a small house in the country. Though we started our B&B with the goal of satisfying the needs of visitors traveling with dogs - we do welcome guests who aren't with a dog and are just looking for a comfortable and friendly place to stay in Ottawa! In fact, one-third of our guests don't have a pet traveling with them.
