to take your dog for a walk. Dogs must be kept on their leashes
Area Adoption Shelters:
- Aylmer
SPCA - Located in Gatineau/Western Quebec. It receives no public/government
funding and relies solely on adoption fees and donations and is The
Black Lab Inn's choice for our financial support as it is a no-kill
shelter and where we found our Casey and Boomer. A portion of al our revenue is donated to the SPCA
- Ottawa Humane
Society: Ottawa's largest non-profit, community-based shelter
- Good Dog Rescue: Good Dog Rescue is located in Manotick, Ontario. We are a group of dedicated volunteers looking to find forever families for dogs in need. We take in all breeds of dogs and work with them until they are adoptable. We have a no-kill policy.
- Hopeful Hearts: provides a safe and caring foster homes to dogs who are homeless, with a particular focus on, but not limited to, senior and special needs dogs.

rescue organization

of Abandoned Pets - Animals stay in foster homes until a permanent adoptive
home is found.
